Interested in joining TikTok Shop as a Creator? Want to use your account and earn through commission? This article will teach you how to apply as a Creator using the TikTok App.
Check out these two easy steps to get you started.

Step 1: Enter through your Profile

Starting up your Creator account can be done inside the TikTok App. Use your existing account and follow the steps below to know where to apply.

  1. Open your TikTok App and go to your Profile, then tap on the three lines
  1. Tap on TikTok Studio
  1. Tap on TikTok Shop for Creator

Step 2: Check Requirements and Apply

The next step is checking if your account meets the necessary requirements to apply. Work on completing the checklist provided so you can start your journey as a TikTok Shop Creator.

  1. You will find a list of requirements needed before you are eligible to apply. Tap on Apply
  1. You have now applied to be a Creator! Your application will be reviewed and you will receive a notification once it is done.
  1. Once you receive a notification, you are now officially a Creator!

Step 3: Verify your Identity

After your application is approved, you will need to verify your identity by uploading your valid photo ID and tax information to the Verification Center. In order to earn and withdraw commission from your content, you will need to complete your verification.

  1. For new users, you will receive this pop-up when you first enter the Creator Center. Tap on Verify
  1. Tapping on Verify will redirect you to the Verification Center. From here, you can fill on both your identity and tax information
  1. Once you've added your information, the system will review and once approved, you can start earning on TikTok Shop!

  1. Can I apply for both as a Creator and a Seller?
    • Yes. For TikTok Shop creator, you are eligible to apply as a Seller if you meet the requirements. There is no limitation that you have to choose to be Creator or Seller only as long as you meet platform criteria.
  2. What if I meet all the requirements and my application wasn't approved?
    • You can open a ticket to request us to investigate.
